In Cockroach Salad, players compete to be the first to get rid of all their cards. Sounds simple? Think again! Each card features a vegetable—tomato, pepper, lettuce, or cauliflower—and on your turn, you must quickly name the vegetable shown as you play your card. But there’s a twist: sometimes you’ll need to lie about what you see, especially if the same vegetable was just played or if certain vegetables are “taboo” at that moment. And then there are the cockroaches—these mischievous critters can turn the game upside down and force even the most confident player into a hilarious slip-up.
The real challenge lies in keeping track of what’s been said, remembering which vegetables are currently forbidden, and reacting faster than your opponents. Any hesitation, mistake, or stutter means you’ll have to pick up extra cards—making victory slip further from your grasp.
