Naval battles take place on dedicated combat boards that make fighting at sea more challenging than standard encounters. New Location Tokens introduce guarded locations with predefined enemy forces, while stacked units make some encounters considerably tougher. Heroes can also obtain Empowered Ability cards, stronger versions of their existing abilities that provide powerful new rewards.
The included Mission Book features three new scenarios: a cooperative scenario inspired by Barbarian Breakout, a solo adventure inspired by Island of Fire, and a competitive 1v1 scenario based around controlling mines and new locations.
