Detail description
Welcome to the wild North, a land that remains unexplored, mysterious, and dangerous. When the first people laid eyes on the North, they believed they had discovered an untouched paradise on Earth.
Lush forests stretched across the land, the lakes teemed with fish, and cool, crystal-clear streams flowed down from the mountains. But as people began building settlements, the dense forests were gradually reduced to scattered clearings. Nature, which had until then silently endured its own destruction, finally began to fight back. Beasts emerged from the darkness: savage and mystical creatures armed with claws, fangs, and supernatural powers no ordinary person could hope to withstand. The settlers of the North therefore called upon experienced hunters and gave them one clear task: find and destroy the beasts before the beasts do the same to us.
Using a deck of movement cards, the Beast travels through forests, swamps, and caves, doing everything it can to conceal its trail from the Hunters. Whenever a Hunter reaches a location where the Beast has previously been, a trail marker is revealed. The Beast’s true position is only exposed when a Hunter searches that location or when the Beast itself attacks an unsuspecting victim. Each Hunter has only one chance to search a location per round, so they cannot afford to make a mistake. The Hunters are rarely certain whether the trail they are following still points to the Beast’s current whereabouts or has already gone cold.
Every action in the game is performed by playing a card from your hand, with a maximum of two cards played per round. This means that if a player wants to search, attack, or move, they must have a card that allows them to do so. Before each round, both Hunters and Beasts take part in a draft for the most important cards. All action cards can be used by both sides.
To bring down the Beast, the Hunters must work together flawlessly every step of the way. When playing as the Beast, careful planning and skillful evasion are essential. Individually, the Hunters can never match the Beast’s strength. Only by cooperating, communicating, and planning their strategy together can they defeat it before it is too late.
