Drop Pods are legendary for their role in surprise assaults and high-risk insertions. Each self-contained, recoverable capsule is engineered to withstand the brutal forces of atmospheric re-entry, delivering squads of Space Marines straight into the thick of combat. Their greatest defence is not just their reinforced armour, but their sheer velocity—striking before the enemy can react and sowing chaos in their ranks.
This multipart plastic kit builds one detailed Drop Pod, a versatile transport option for your Legiones Astartes army in games of Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. The model features intricate internal systems, including a command console and harnesses for embarked troops. All five doors are designed for glueless assembly, allowing you to open or close them as your mission demands—perfect for dramatic battlefield reveals or immersive diorama displays.
The Drop Pod comes equipped with a pintle-mounted combi-bolter as standard, ready to provide covering fire as your Space Marines disembark. The kit is intentionally free of Legion-specific markings, making it suitable for any Space Marine force—be they loyalists or traitors. For those who wish to personalize their transports, optional icons are included for the Imperial Aquila, Space Wolves, Ultramarines, Dark Angels, and Blood Angels.
